My name is Ralph Kürschner, I’m 64 and your candidate for Breberen.
I have now lived in Gangelt for twenty years. I’m originally from Frankfurt – and moving here changed a lot for me. Whereas much of big-city life was anonymous and consumer-driven, in Gangelt I quickly noticed how much you can shape and achieve yourself. That still enriches my life today: in my own wildlife-friendly garden, doing DIY around the house, or volunteering with NABU, the nature conservation association.
Professionally, I head the tax department of a company. In my private life, I find fulfilment in nature and community. I especially value the many warm-hearted people I have got to know at local events over the years – a colourful mix from all walks of life, but all with the same love for our village.
Politically, I have voted Green ever since my very first election, even if I don’t share every single position. What matters to me is standing up for nature and the environment at local level – where we can make a direct difference.
For Gangelt, I want us to preserve our quality of life for our children and grandchildren too: with living front gardens instead of gravel deserts, with tree-lined roads leading into our villages, and with a place that stays green, liveable and open.
