My name is Alexander Rudi, I’m 35, the father of three children, happily married, and I have lived in Gangelt since 2019.
I work as an inspection engineer for rail vehicles.
As the candidate for Langbroich/Harzelt, I want to help make our area fit for the future – with respect for the environment, a strong sense of community and responsibility towards future generations.
These are the issues for our area that matter most to me:
Mobility
Mobility is at the heart of my personal and professional commitment. As an inspection engineer, I help shape the climate-friendly transport transition – a goal the Greens share: they are pushing for strong, affordable public transport and for expanding rail, cycle paths and sharing schemes, to make mobility socially and environmentally fair for everyone.
Sustainability as a family mission
I want to stand up for treating our environment with respect. Oil-based plastic packaging, for example, is often carelessly thrown away along pavements, and far too much food that is still perfectly good ends up in the bin. I teach my children to be mindful of resources – less waste, careful use of drinking water and energy. It matters to me that children learn early on to value and protect nature – not just at home, but at school too. At the same time, I want to make sure that sustainable technologies and climate-friendly solutions are accessible to everyone, regardless of income or where they live.
Energy
At municipal level, I want to promote the expansion of renewable energy such as solar and wind power, supported by community energy projects and local energy cooperatives. That way, households and local businesses alike can benefit from stable, affordable energy prices – and our area becomes more independent and more climate-friendly at the same time.
I’m standing because I want to work together with the people here to shape our home sustainably, create opportunities and secure a future worth living.
