My name is Sarah Rudi, I’m 38, happily married and the mother of three wonderful children aged 3 to 9.
Gangelt has been my home since 2019. I quickly settled in here and was warmly welcomed as a newcomer from Geilenkirchen. When I think of Gangelt, I remember the St Nicholas market from my childhood – a highlight of years gone by. Today it is above all the friendly, helpful people who make this place so special to me.
I’m a trained early-years educator and worked in a nursery with passion for many years. During my parental leave, I trained as a hospital clown, and since 2022 I have been working freelance as a clown visiting older people and children in various care settings. I also volunteer at our local library.
What matters most to me is meeting people as equals, taking them seriously and building real connections.
That is exactly the attitude I want to bring to politics. Politics must be fair, democratic and humane.
For me, the growing shift to the right in our society is unacceptable. We are all called upon to protect and strengthen our democracy.
It is just as important to act together against the climate crisis – slowing man-made climate change is one of the most urgent tasks of our time.
For these reasons, I decided to stand for Bündnis 90/Die Grünen.
I stand for politics that:
- puts humanity at its heart,
- does not tolerate exclusion of any kind – whether because of religion, origin, sexuality or anything else,
- doesn’t just look for mistakes and someone to blame, but develops solutions together,
- takes many small steps in the same direction – because nobody has to, or can, do everything alone.
Let’s achieve a lot for Gangelt together – for ourselves, our children and grandchildren, for our home and for our planet.
